Ukrainian Festival At Paproskiâs
The 28th annual Ukrainian Festival sponsored by the Holy Protection of the Blessed Virgin May Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport will be held Sunday, August 29, at the Paproski Tree Farm on 5 Hattertown Road (off Route 302).
The day will begin at 11 am with the Celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the garden. Throughout the day, Ukrainian food including pyrokies, stuffed cabbage, borscht Ukrainian pastry, poppy seed and nut rolls, will be served.
This year there will be a live band during the festival. There will also be Ukrainian dancing, singing, and games as well as hay rides, pony rides, petting zoo, and volleyball. There will be activities for children and prizes. Arts and crafts will also be on display and there will be a demonstration on how to decorate Ukrainian Easter eggs.
The festival takes place all day beginning at 11 am, rain or shine. There is plenty of off-street parking. Admission is $1. All are invite to join the festival and enjoy the country fresh air. Bring chairs or a blanket.
