For Teens

BRIDGEPORT — Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo offers a program on the first Saturday of each month for teens ages 13 to 16.

On October 1 the program will be “Zoo Crew: Nature’s Palette.” Students will learn how the wonderful patterns found in nature inspire wildlife photographers, artists, wildlife researchers and even fashion designers. Students will hear about these careers and then apply their own creativity to their own piece of environmental art.

The program runs from 1 to 4 pm.

Cost is $35 per student, and pre-registration is required at least one week in advance by calling the zoo’s education department at 203-394-6563.
