Newtowners are faced with many choices for a variety of offices in this November 3 election. These are important offices to be filled and much thought should be given as to who can best meet the qualifications of each position. For six years (2001â2007) our family was very involved with Newtownâs probate system. We had first-hand experience in the mechanics of the system and it is because of those six years, we feel more than qualified to support and endorse Moira Rodgers as Probate Judge.
If you find yourself in the position of needing to work with the probate system, it generally means you have some life-changing decisions going on in your family. For us, as with many others, it can be a very challenging time. The legal issues and aspects of probate can be very entwined and it is of the utmost importance that the judge is very astute and up on Connecticutâs probate laws. As the State of Connecticut has recently mandated that Probate Judges be lawyers in the future, it only makes sense to elect an attorney at this time.
If you are in the probate system, it is very likely to be an extremely emotional period in your lives. Compassion and understanding of the family dynamics is a very big asset in a Judge of Probate as they are put in the position of making life-altering decisions every day.
It would be wise for Newtowners to elect a judge that can offer longevity and continuity in the office. Moira Rodgers would not be facing the mandatory retirement age for many, many years. Moira Rodgers is an attorney and thus will meet the state requirement when it comes to be. And...Moira Rodgers offers compassion and life experience with family that will enable her to serve Newtownâs Probate District with the proper balance that Newtowners have had with Margot Hall and deserve to continue having with Moira Rodgers.
We strongly feel that Moira Rodgers is the most qualified candidate for Judge of Probate for Newtown and urge you to vote for Moira on November 3.
Miss you all!
