Geraldine Margaret (Bailey) Brewster, 89, of Newtown, died October 7, in Baltimore, Md. She was born in Kingston, N.Y., May 9, 1929, and was the daughter of Geraldine (Kiernan) and Aloysius Bailey.

Mrs Brewster was a longtime employee of DuPont Sorvall in Newtown and a member of the board of VFW Post 308. She was also active in her church, St Rose of Lima in Newtown.

Her daughter, Barbara Ellison of Lewis, Del.; her son, Robert Brewster of Southbury; her granddaughter, Alana Andrews, and her husband, Chris Gery, of Maryland; her granddaughter, Bailey Brewster of Massachusetts, ; and her grandson, Robert Brewster of Middletown, survive her.

Friends may call Thursday, October 11, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 12, at 10:30 am, in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery, Newtown.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the VFW Post 308, 18 Tinkerfield Road, Newtown, following the burial.
