Mr & Mrs Alec Zimmer

Elisabeth C. Healey and Alec S. Zimmer were married on September 3, 2006, at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield. The Reverend Daniel Heischman officiated the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the inn. They honeymooned in Australia.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs James R. Healey of Newtown. The groom is the son of Mrs and Mrs William Zimmer of Danville, Penn.

Mrs Zimmer was escorted down the aisle by her great-uncle, James J. Boyle. She wore a Werkstatt gown of candlelight-colored silk, and she carried a bouquet of cranberry Gerbera daisies and cymbidium orchids.

Bridesmaids and bridesmen were Alison Healey of Cambridge, Mass., Doris Short of Brooklyn, N.Y., Daniel McDevit of New Brunswick, Canada, and Joshua Schellin of Brooklyn, N.Y. The bridesmaids work wine-colored dresses and carried bouquets of Gerbera daisies. The bridesmen and ushers wore black tuxedos with silver vests and ties.

Ushers were Mike Bernath of Miami, Jonathan Davies of Columbus, Ohio, Davis Lischer of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Chris Rodger of Chelmsford, Mass.

Mrs Zimmer is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree of library and information science at Simmons College.

Mr Zimmer earned his bachelor’s degree at Swarthmore College, and then his master’s at Stanford University. He is a senior structural engineer at S.H.G. in Waltham, Mass.

The couple lives in Somerville, Mass.
