Julia K. Robins

Julia K. Robins, 89, wife of the late Jack L. Robins, formerly of Engleside Terrace, Sandy Hook, died July 24 in St Joseph’s Manor, Trumbull.

She was born in Richibucto, New Brunswick, Canada, November 25, 1910, daughter of the late Ursaline and Bridget (Robichaud) Daigle.

Mrs Robins came to Newtown in 1946. For 25 years Mrs Robins assisted her husband in the operation of Robin’s Delicatessen in Newtown.

Following her retirement, she was active in the Newtown Senior Center. She was proud to be a dedicated grandma.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Sykes of Heath, Mass., and Jacqueline Clancy of Greenfield, Mass.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28, in Richibucto, New Brunswick.

Arrangements are by Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
