Bottle Drive To Support Red Cross

Two Newtown Middle School students will host a bottle collection site in front of Yankee Discount Wine & Liquors located in the Big Y shopping plaza on Saturday, September 22, from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Proceeds from the drive will benefit the American Red Cross.

Ashlee Ross and Christie Fogelstrom wanted to help the unfortunate people and their families who have suffered from the horrific events last Tuesday. The girls are asking community members to collect their bottles and cans and bring them to the plaza on Saturday to show their support for the Red Cross and the families in need.
