Mary Jean (Semosky) Lundberg, 45, of Shelton, died suddenly August 17, in her home. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of David and Mary Ann Semosky of Stratford.
Mary Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Lundberg; her cherished and loving children, Kevin R., Kristin M., and Brian D. Lundberg; and her parents, David and Mary Ann (Kubic) Semosky of Stratford.
She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Semosky and his wife, Michele, of Newtown; her sister-in-law Linda Rose and her husband, Richard, of Reno, Nev.; her mother-in-law, Marjorie Lundberg of Fairfield; and several beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Her brother, David Semosky; her brother-in-law, Chris Lundberg; and her father-in-law, Einar Lundberg predeceased her. She will be long remembered for her untiring devotion to her family and friends.
She was a graduate of Bunnell High School and Southern Connecticut State University with a major in education and art. She formerly taught art at St Joseph High School until she left to marry Robert Lundberg and start a family. She was a substitute teacher in the Shelton School System. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter who gave freely of her time, experience, and talent for many different volunteer activities notably the Shelton High School Band Parents, BSA Troop 25, PTA Council Representative for Ripton School, Cub Scout Day Camp, and Special Olympics. She was a caring, giving, and loving person who always emphasized the positives of everyone she met.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, August 22, at 10 am directly at Saint Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Burial will follow at Saint John Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours are 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 21, at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
