Barbecue At The Zoo June 5

BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport Hospital Auxiliary will present “Barbecue at the Zoo” 5 to 9 pm Saturday, June 5, at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Avenue.

Proceeds will support renovations to the Dr Andrew J. & Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, Connecticut’s only dedicated burn care facility. To request tickets, call the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation at 203-384-3522. Tickets are also available in the Bridgeport Hospital Gift Shop.

The event includes access to the zoo, beverages, and live entertainment as well as face painting, crafts, and a special play area for children. There will also be a drawing held for prizes such as a 50-inch plasma screen TV, a pearl jewelry set, and gift certificates to Quattro Pazzi Café in Fairfield, the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, and area retail outlets. Tickets for the drawing are also available in the Bridgeport Hospital Gift Shop.
