CBIA ‘Webinars’ Offer Diverse Training Opportunities

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) announced September 13 that the organization is offering web seminars to bring professional development and training to busy business people in the convenience of their own offices, increasing businesses’ efficiencies.

CBIA is offering a comprehensive selection of seminars, conferences, and training programs on topics including management and supervision, leadership, time and project management, customer service, human resources, OSHA and safety training, and more.

These Web seminars can be accessed by individuals in their own offices with just a computer and Internet connection.

“Business people participating in these interactive Web seminars have the ability to give, receive, and discuss information about a variety of important business topics,” said Peter Gioia, CBIA vice president and economist. “Busy professionals have been telling us they can’t always take the time to travel to conferences, so this is a way they can get important training and other information without leaving their office.”

Besides saving time, other benefits of Web seminars include access to conference materials on one’s own personal computer with the option to archive them for an indefinite amount of time, and the option to ask questions prior to, during, and after the event. These seminars are also “green” or environmentally friendly and promote corporate sustainability.

Upcoming Web seminars include:

Reaching the Hispanic Population, October 10

Protecting Yourself from Fraud in the Workplace, October 17

How Will You Deal with the Revaluation of Your Commercial Real Estate? October 31

Retirement Plan Options for Business Owners, November 9

Introduction to Building Cultural Awareness for Export Success; two-part series, November 14 and 16

Research & Development Tax Credits: The Hidden Treasure, December 5

Rates for each seminar vary and discounts are available to all CBIA members. Registration is required for all Web seminars. For more information, contact CBIA at 860-244-1900.
