Porco’s Karate Kids Compete At Fall Classic Tournament

Porco’s Karate Academy students participated admirably at the 17th Annual Fall Classic Invitational in mid-October.

The invitational was hosted by sixth degree Master Efrain Valentin of Meriden. This tournament invited all practitioners of the ancient Korean martial art, Tang Soo Do, to show their techniques in forms, weapons forms, and free-sparring. Everyone was in high spirits and showed great sportsmanship for their fellow competitors.

Participants from Porco’s were: Jacob Baron (Red Belt with Stripe, third in Sparring), Yanni Kousidis (Red Belt with Stripe, co-third Medal), Amelia Schill (Red Belt with Stripe, second in Sparring), Mystic Higginson (Brown Belt with Stripe, co-third Medal), Angella Kousidis (Brown Belt with Stripe, co-third Medal), Sabryna Coppola (Brown Belt, third in Sparring), Matthew Hendrickson (Brown Belt, second in Sparring), Shilin Ray (Brown Belt, second in Forms), Neil Coppola (Green Belt, co-third Medal), Saahil Ray (Little Dragon, co-third Medal), and Henry Terifay (Little Dragon, co-third Medal).
