Concordia Society Motorcycle Ride Benefits Ann’s Place

DANBURY —The Concordia Society will be hosting it’s 3rd Charity Poker Run on Sunday, August 14. Proceeds from the event will go directly to Ann’s Place, The Home of I Can cancer support services agency.

Bikers will enjoy a scenic route through western Connecticut. First bikes ride off at 11 am from the Concordia Society at 6 Crosby Street. All bikes will be at the last stop by 5 pm.

Prizes will be awarded at the post-event party at Biscotti’s in New Fairfield.

This event is sponsored by the Concordia Society, Wooster Square-Hawley Realty, Dairy & Energy Stop, Ditto Bar & Restaurant, White Horse Pub, Biscotti’s Restaurant, Tucker’s Restaurant & Tap Room, and Ridgefield Printing, Inc.

Ann’s Place has been providing cancer support services to those living with cancer and to their loved ones since 1991. Currently, the agency serves more than 725 clients per month.

Services are provided free of charge, including individual and family counseling, more than 20 support groups for people with various cancer diagnoses and at various stages of treatment, and a variety of wellness programs, including yoga, reiki, tai chi, writing workshops, art therapy, and guided imagery.
