Celebrating Hospice
Celebrating Hospice
To the Editor:
It was truly a beautiful day in the Newtown neighborhood as attendees at the 17th Annual Summer Breakfast sponsored by the Newtown Chapter of Regional Hospice gathered at the Fireside Inn on June 13 to celebrate this most humanitarian cause. We wish to acknowledge those responsible for this fabulously successful event:
To the hosts/hostesses who donned the aprons and served their guests with such charm and wit,
To Gerard Lamoureux, our guest speaker, who touched and inspired us all by sharing his personal experience,
To the guests who gave so generously on behalf of the hospice ideal,
To our local business and individuals who so willingly offered such fantastic items for raffle prizes including Arts Festival Art, Avance Esthetiques, Big Y, Curves for Women, Elizabeth Ricci, Friends of Hospice, Genesis Hair Studio, Georgeâs Restaurant, The Inn at Newtown, Joyâs Hallmark, JP Maguire Associates, Karenâs Fitness Studio, Lexington Gardens, Little Green Barn, McGeorgiâs, McLaughlin Vineyards, Mocha Coffee House, Monroe Nails II, Tre Ragazze, Ricciâs Salon, Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor, Shorttâs Farm and Garden Center, Stony Hill Inn, Subway, Taunton Wine & Liquor, Therapeutic Bodywork, The Toy Tree, Truly Yours, The Villa, and Villarinaâs,
To those who so unselfishly donated their time and talents including Eleanor McClellan, Jen, the âballoon expertâ at Stop & Shop, Katie Studley, Martene at Image One, the Newtown police officers, The Reverend Richard Yerrington, Terri Nackidâ¦and
To all who gave of their time, energies, and monies in the real sense of community spirit,
We sincerely applaud you.
