DANBURY â The 2004-05 season of Danbury Music Centre will soon begin. Community singers, instrumentalists and dancers are invited to perform with Danbury Concert Chorus, Danbury Symphony Orchestra, Danbury Community Orchestra and Danbury Preparatory String Orchestra.
Danbury Symphony Orchestra, a group of experienced orchestral performers, will present its first concert of the season, âAmerican Memoirs,â on November 7, under guest conductor Stephen Michael Smith. Rehearsals are held Monday nights.
Danbury Concert Chorus, a group of adult singers under the direction of Richard Price, will present âHarvest Home: An American Journeyâ on November 14. Rehearsals are held Tuesday nights.
Danbury Community Orchestra, a group for amateur performers, adults and teenagers, will present âRussian Canvasesâ on December 5. It is conducted by music director Stephen Michael Smith. Rehearsals are held Wednesday nights.
Danbury Preparatory String Orchestra, under the direction of Glen Lebetkin of Danbury, is designed for intermediate level string students who play violin, viola, cello, and bass. Rehearsals are held Thursday nights.
