Tag-A-Gift

Program

There are ten days left to participate in the annual Tag-A-Gift program sponsored by the Newtown Jr Women’s Club in conjunction with the Newtown Fund’s Christmas basket program. Every year the community is given the opportunity to buy gifts anonymously for the less fortunate children in town.

Tags are on Christmas trees and wreaths at Newtown Savings Bank at Sand Hill Plaza, Fleet Bank, Union Savings Bank, and the Wesley Learning Center. Each tag has a child’s age and sex along with a number used to identify the family when the gifts are distributed.

Gifts should be brought, unwrapped, to these locations and left in specially marked boxes. The tag should be taped to the gift. (Keep the tin-punch green ornament as the Junior Women’s Club’s gift to the donors.) Deadline for the gifts is Monday, December 13. At that time, members of the Junior Women’s Club will pick them up and gift-wrap them.
