Marijuana Charge

Police said they observed a vehicle with a taillight out traveling northbound on Queen Street about 11:43 pm on July 18. Police said they stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Queen Street and Church Hill Road and smelled marijuana smoke emanating from it.

Police said they investigated and charged motorist Donald K. Knight, 42, of Danbury with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and failure to have an operating taillight.

After processing, police released Knight on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 1 to answer the charges.
