Alexander Czaplinski

Alexander Czaplinski, 84, of Trumbull, a retiree of Bridgeport Machines, died on September 14. He was the brother of Mary Roy of Newtown.

Born in Gardner, Mass., he was a son of the late Ignasius and Julia (Bakinowska) Czaplinski, and was a US Navy World War II veteran. Mr Czaplinski was a member of the White Eagles and was the widower of Gladys (Wajda) Czaplinski.

Survivors include his devoted daughter, Carol Konopka and her husband, Joseph, of Trumbull; two granddaughters, Lisa Plasko and her husband, John, and Bridgette Konopka, all of Trumbull; three brothers, Albert Czaplinski of Stratford, Romould Czaplinski of Stratford, and Telesfer Czaplinski of Poland; four sisters, Regina Iwaszkiewicz of Bridgeport, Leokadia Iwaszkiewicz of Florida, Irena Odyniec of Shelton, and Danuta Kuratowicz of Poland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place on September 18 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and in St Theresa Church, Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

Memorial contributions may be made to the World Trade Center Relief Fund or to a favorite charity.
