Deming Scholarship

DANBURY — Danbury Music Centre will award the fifth annual Deming Family Music Scholarship to a deserving student in June.

The scholarship has been funded by Mary and Robert Deming, who have expressed a deep appreciation for the philosophy, the programs, and the contributions of the Danbury Music Centre to the Deming family and to music lovers in the greater Danbury area.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a college senior or graduate student of music at an accredited college or university. Students from Danbury and surrounding towns are invited to apply.

Special consideration will be given to those who are or have been participants in the programs of Danbury Music Centre.

Applications are available now at the music center, at 256 Main Street. Call 748-1716 to request an application.

All applications are due back to Danbury Music Centre by May 13.

An announcement of the winner will be made in mid-June.
