Like To Sing? Join The Group!

Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, extends an invitation to all who enjoy singing to join the choir for the spring season.

Entering its twentieth year, the group will be preparing for a May concert which will focus on the last 100 years of song. This program will include favorites from the last century, ranging from “Won’t You Come Home Bill Bailey” and “Good Vibrations” to “Hotel California” and “100 Years.” This will be a fun program with plenty of solo and ensemble opportunities.

Newtown Choral Society is made up of people of different professions, different music experience and a wide range of ages. And members from all area towns are welcome. What unites its members is their love of singing and the desire to learn and be challenged musically.

Children from age 8 and older are welcome to join with an adult.

Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at Newtown Middle School from 7 until 9 pm. The new season of rehearsals have just began; the first one was on January 18, so it isn’t too late to add another voice for the spring concert.
