Advocated Rights Of Seniors And Physically Challenged
Constance L. Adams, 74, an area real estate agent for many years, died at Bethel Health Care on October 16.
Mrs Adams was the wife of Harold W. Adams. Born in Pittsburgh July 29, 1932, a daughter of Max and Ann (Lieflander) Miller, she attended Pittsburgh schools.
A resident of Newtown since 1972, she returned to Pittsburgh in 1998, residing there for seven years prior to returning to Newtown in April 2005.
She was an advocate for the rights of the mentally and physically challenged. Mrs Adams was active with DATAHR, which more recently was renamed Ability Beyond Disability. She was a member of the Greater Danbury Board of Realtors and the Newtown Board of Realtors, as well as advocate of the rights of senior citizens.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Harold, two sons, Michael Adams of Newtown and Marc Adams of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Vicki Aiken of Roanoke, Va.; a brother, Larry Miller; and three grandchildren survive her.
A memorial service will take place in Pittsburgh.
