WeCAHR Annual Meeting Planned

DANBURY — WeCAHR, Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights, Inc, will hold its annual meeting Thursday, June 26, at 7 pm, at Tarrywile Mansion, 70 Southern Boulevard.

There will be an election of new board members. Patricia Tomka, executive director will give her annual message.

The following individuals will be recognized for their outstanding work for people with disabilities: Representative David Scribner of the 107th District, Public Service Award; James Sheehan and Albert Casale from the CT Department of Developmental Disabilities as Professionals; Olivia Shulz, WesstConn, Volunteer Award; and the Educator Awards will go to Stephanie Parker, Barbara George, and Debby Scherrer of the Ridgefield School District.

Light refreshments will be served following the meeting, which is open to the public. WeCAHR encourages families to attend.
