Jewish SummerFest Being Planned

DANBURY — The public is invited to the third annual Jewish SummerFest, to take place Sunday, August 24, from 1 to 6 pm. Admission is free.

The event will return to the grounds of Congregation B’nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Road. Shuttle service will be ongoing from nearby St Ann’s Church, at 181 Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39), bringing festivalgoers to and from the celebration at 193 Route 39.

Plenty of food, including falafel, brisket sandwiches, New York pickles, grilled hot dogs, chocolate chip cookies, beer, wine and soft drinks, will be available.

Entertainment will include live klezmer music, Israeli songs, folk dancing, and more.

Continuous children’s activities will include including crafts, art, face painting, and story telling.

Another highlight of the fair will be a raffle for a Wii gaming system.

Vendors will have an area to set up, where they will offer judaica, jewelry, clothing, and other products.
