The College Boardâs Advanced Placement Program recently recognized Brooks Smith as an AP Scholar with Distinction. To qualify for this award, students must earn an average of 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more on these exams. Brooks was one of 42 students from Greens Farm Academy in Westport to earn this distinction. A 2004 Greens Farm Academy graduate, Brooks is now a student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
Christopher Thompson was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Boston Universityâs College of Arts and Sciences on December 1. He was one of 12 students selected for their academic achievement at Boston University. Christopher, son of David and Nadine Thompson, is a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School. He is majoring in international relations.
Katherine Danzinger earned high honors and Daniel Agius and Benjamin Greenfield earned honors for the first quarter from the Gunnery in Washington.
Richard MacKay of Sandy Hook received a bachelor of science in business administration from Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.
Meaghan Dawley and Danielle Mason made the Principalâs Honor Roll for the first marking period at Saint Joseph High School in Trumbull.
