Men’s League: Mike Johnson was this week’s winner with a 1.5, giving him a 2.5 point lead over Dave Cornett. With two Men’s League Days left, it’s still far from over.

ABCD: The last ABCD of the year had a small crowd of 5 foursomes, but they all came to play. The format was Best Ball; 1 Best Ball of Foursome on Odds, and 2 on the Even Holes.

The winning team comprised Larry McCoy, Frank Colavito, Rick Varnum, Art Weisgerber, and Tom Hislop with a 14 under 91. Second place went to Steve Mais, AJ Cappelli, James Derrickson, and Tony DiPerrio with a 13 under 92. The third place team was Tom Bartram, John O’Connor, Len Calbo Jr, and Imran Mahar with a 9 under 96.

President’s Cup Finals: After six months of battle between 25 teams, Rick Eaton and Chris D’Amico found themselves in the finals against veterans Mike Portnoy and Pete Spanedda. Front 9 advantage was to D’Amico/Eaton and with five holes left to play and the tandem up three, it looked as if Portnoy/Spanedda were going home empty-handed. A late charge proved Portnoy/Spanedda weren’t going to roll over. Portnoy/Spanedda won three of the last five holes to square the match and go to extra holes, but in the end D’Amico/Eaton found their composure and won on the 19th hole, making them the 2012 President’s Cup winners.

Family Scramble: Winners of Rock Ridge’s final Family Scramble of the year were the Hislops with a 36. Second Place went to the Olcese family with a 38.
