The following are recent scores from the Newtown Sunday Slo-Pitch Softball League:

 

BOTSFORD DRIVE-IN 11, G&H TOOL 1: Carl Strait and Rich Staid had three hits apiece, including home runs, to lead Botsford to the win. Norm Abair also had three hits. For G&H, Carlo Diaz homered to account for the only run.

HURD CONSTRUCTION 9, YAKS 2: Bob McHugh and Mike Marusa had three hits apiece as Hurd overwhelmed the Yaks. Bill Girard pitched a fine game and Jim Trocolla was strong in the field.

CROSS HILL SANITATION 23, PITNEY BOWES 6: Jim Miller and Don Ziget each went 4-for-4 with home runs to power Cross Hill. Tom Egan banged out a pair of hits for Pitney.

CDR INSURANCE 16, PITNEY BOWES 11: Larry Rice and Frank Rocca had three hits each for CDR while Connor went 3-for-4 with a homer for Pitney Bowes.

100 CHURCH HILL 21, CDR INSURANCE 15: Douyak and Hamilton had three hits each for Church Hill while Bill Kneisel went 4-for-5 with a home run for CDR.

CDR INSURANCE 14, TK’S 8: Scott Gattey had three hits (with a pair of doubles) and Matt Coughlin had three hits to lead CDR. For TK’s, Joe Rich was 4-for-4.

TILFORD PIANO MOVERS 14, CDR INSURANCE 2: Tom Evans went 3-for-3 with a home run and Tim Powell had a pair of hits to pace Tilford.

JIMMY T’S OLDE NEWTOWN TAVERN 14, O’GRADY MILLER CONSTRUCTION 13: Rick Kasbarian had three hits and scored three times to lead Jimmy T’s to the win. Kris Svensson added a single and a homer. For O’Grady, Brian Maciolek had three hits and three runs scored.

MY PLACE PIZZA 17, TILFORD PIANO MOVERS 16: Mark Strait banged out four hits and Tim March collected three hits to lead My Place. For Tilford, Carl Strait had three hits and three runs scored.

KELLOGGS HARDWOOD, INC. 21, TK’S 12: Chris Dennis had a single and three home runs to power Kelloggs to the win. Brian Kachur added four hits, with a homer. For TK’s, Dave Bambino had two hits.

KELLOGGS HARDWOOD, INC. 14, CROSS HILL SANITATION 12: Mark Adams had three hits and Chris D’Angelo had two hits and four runs scored to lead Kelloggs. For Cross Hill, Ron Nihoff banged out three hits.

JIMMY T’S OLDE NEWTOWN TAVERN 22, TILFORD PIANO MOVERS 12: Gene Chappell had four hits and Pete Duhamel had three hits and four runs scored to lead Jimmy T’s. Doug Otten powered Tilford’s with three hits, including a home run.

MY PLACE PIZZA 16, O’GRADY MILLER CONSTRUCTION 12: Kevin Radcliff collected four hits and three runs scored to lead My Place. Tim March added a single and three doubles. For O’Grady, Dave Kingsley banged out three hits.
