New Arts: Newtown Musicals, in association with The 12.14 Foundation, will present “Secrets Every Actor Needs To Know,” a free audition workshop with casting director and educator Holly Powell on Saturday, May 16. The workshop will run from 10 am to 4 pm at Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook.

The workshop is open to performers age 13 and over. Space is limited to 30 participants.

Holly Powell is an Emmy Award winning casting director who in her 23 years of casting has seen the world from three different vantage points: independent casting director, senior VP of casting, and director of casting. 

In 2004, Ms Powell formed Holly Powell Studios: An Audition Studio for Actors, where she teaches. She also travels with her Audition Workshop Intensive to drama schools and colleges across the country.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
