Help The Book Sale

To the Editor:

Book sale time is fast upon us at the Booth Library. Volunteers have been working all year getting ready for our annual sale, but help is needed now to arrange and set up over 150,000 books.

Our most critical need is for set-up on Monday, August 20, in Bridgeport Hall at the Fairfield Hills campus. We will begin at 7 pm and work till 9 pm. If you can spare a few hours, please join us. We especially need some strong people to lift and move boxes.

Finally, if you can work during the sale, which will be held Saturday, September 1, through Wednesday, September 5, please call the library at 426-5433 or sign up at the main circulation desk at the Library.

By the way, Newtown has to be the most literate town around judging by the volume and caliber of books that we receive as donations. Thanks, Newtown, for your support! See you at the book sale!
