DANBURY â The American Cancer Society, Annâs Place, The Home of I Can, and the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital are hosting a âLymphedema â Knowledge is Powerâ program on May 18 at the Praxair Cancer Center in Danbury from 6 to 9 pm. Learn more about lymphedema, risk reduction, treatment, and effective coping strategies from a panel of professionals and lymphedema survivors.
Speakers will include Dr Joseph Gordan, co-director of the Breast Cancer Program at Danbury Hospital; Dr Beth Aaronson, chief of physical medicine at Danbury Hospital; Laurie Lemasurier, an occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist; Erin Gardner-Metz, physical therapist and certified lymphedema therapist; Mary Burke, facilitator of the Lymphedema Support Group at Annâs Place, The Home of I Can, and a panel of survivors will share coping strategies.
