Dr Taweh On ‘Unity In Diversity’

Corpus Christi Faith Community will present Unity In Diversity with host Rev Leo McIlrath and special guests, on Charter Cable Television, Channel 21, on Monday, January 10, at noon, and Wednesday, January 12, at 5:30 pm, with Dr Z. Michael Taweh, founder and president of Kevin’s Community Center in Newtown.

The Rev Larry Carew, director of the Office of Charismatic Renewal for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, will be the focus on January 17 and 19.

On January 24 and 26, viewers may see Part I of the 2004 Danbury Interfaith Thanksgiving Service held at the First Congregational Church of Danbury. On the following week, Part II of that service will be aired. Leaders and representatives of Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism participated in this service and the interfaith spirit of this region can be seen in these programs.

Each week, programs can be seen at noon on Mondays and at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays, with potential time changes in the near future. Programs will also be aired on Comcast Cable (Channel 23), on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 pm and noon, respectively.

Programs highlight the history, creedal formulae and liturgical rites, special celebrations and community action initiatives of each tradition.
