WOODBURY â A free meditation program on creating inner peace through yogic practices, called âWant Peace? Yogic Practices for Being,â will be hosted by Woodbury Yoga Center on Sunday, April 10, at 6:45 pm.
All are welcome to join Janaki Pierson, co-founder and executive director/CEO of the center, for discussing how to incorporate and practically apply yogic practices in our daily lives to enhance and cultivate our own inner peace.
âThis program is appropriate for those who have never meditated to come learn, as well as people who have some meditation experience, or those who regularly meditate to gain a fresh insight and/or deepen their practice,â says Ms Pierson.
âEnhanced decision making ability and efficiency resulting from mediation empowers the individual to make healthy choices and balance the responsibilities of life,â she added.
Ms Pierson has been teaching meditation for over 20 years and has been established in her own daily practice for 29 years. Â She teaches extensively throughout New England in medical, educational, corporate, and community settings.
Following Ms Piersonâs program there will be a silent group meditation (free instruction will be available) and an informal tea reception.
