Robert and Mary Granoski

Mary Kathleen Pendergast, daughter of Fred and Nancy Pendergast of Sandy Hook, and Robert Francis Granoski, son of Ellen Granoski and the late Blair Granoski of La Crescenta, Calif., were joined in holy matrimony on April 3 at Newtown Congregational Church. The Rev Steven Beale officiated.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Frederick J. Pendergast, Sr, wore a full-length Lebon satin gown with English lace overlay, ornate crystal beading, and a train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of black magic red roses with a satin ribbon tie.

Sister of the bride, Margaret Keayes, Newtown, served as her matron of honor. Jennifer Garlichs, Falls Church, Va., and Lyn Spalding, Chicago, cousins of the bride, were her bridesmaids.

The bride’s attendants wore two-piece ensembles of red, sleeveless tops with silver embroidery with an envelope back, and red taffeta skirt.

The matron of honor carried a hand-tied bouquet of black magic red roses with purple accent flowers and a satin ribbon tie. The bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of black magic red roses with a satin ribbon tie.

Flower girl was Victoria Keayes, Newtown, niece of the bride, and gift bearer was Rebecca Pendergast, Southbury, also a niece of the bride.

Kaitlyn Pendergast and Catherine Pendergast, nieces of the bride, served as cookie passers.

Best man was Kevin Smith, Los Angeles, a friend of the groom.

John Zoul, Falls Church, Va., a friend of the groom, ushered.

Ring bearer was Joshua Pendergast, Southbury, nephew of the bride; Stephen Pendergast, Southbury, and Zachary Keayes, Newtown, also nephews of the bride, served as gift bearers.

A reception in their honor was held at the Aqua Turf Club, Plantville, Conn. following the ceremony.

The bride attended Immaculate High School in Danbury and graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University and Northern Arizona University with a bachelor of arts in elementary education and psychology. She is employed as a customer service representative and programmer with Verizon Federal Network Systems.

The groom is a graduate of Saint Francis High School, La Canada, Calif. He received his bachelor of arts in psychology from UCLA, Los Angeles, and his master of arts in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif. Mr Granoski is branch manager and financial advisor with AIG.

After a wedding trip to Pismo Beach, Calif., the couple is at home in Las Vegas, Nev.
