Gerald J. Zachman, 68, of Newtown, formerly of Westchester County, died May 21.
Mr Zachman was born June 10, 1934, in Bronx, N.Y., to George and Joanna (George) Zachman. Mr Zachman married Helen Roza in June of 1998 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mr Zachman was a consultant in the abrasives business and partner with King of Malcolm Wholesale Distributors in Queens. Along with his wife, he was co-owner of House of Good Spirits, a liquor store in Newtown.
Mr Zachman is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughter, Leean DiNola of Putnam Valley; his son, Scott Zachman of Carmel, N.Y.; and his stepdaughter, Rebecca Riesenberg of Newtown; two sisters, Lorraine OâGrady of Fishkill, N.Y., and Frances McDonnell of Bronx, N.Y.; his brother, George Zachman of Castlebury, Fla; and two grandchildren, Gregory Zachman and Alex DiNola. He was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Koslowski.
A funeral service was held May 24 at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster, N.Y. Interment followed at Coldspring Cemetery.
