Why Not To Vote For Obama

To the Editor:

This presidential election should not be a popularity contest. We are not choosing a prom king and queen. The issues are many and all are significant, and all effect every American taxpayer .

1) “Obamacare” was imposed against the will of the people (some 64 percent did not want it). The majority still do not want it.

2) President Obama has failed the 100 percent who buy gasoline and heating oil. Five dollar gasoline and heating oil is not a laughing mater, it is unemployment and hardship writ large.

3) Obama has failed those of both this generation and the next five generations to come who will be paying interest and principal on our $16 trillion national debt, $6 trillion of which was created by Obama in the last four years.

4) Obama has failed to protect our religious liberty and many principles of our US Constitution such as our Freedom of Speech (The First Amendment).

5) Obama has failed everyone who wants a job with a future that is not dependent on food stamps.

6) Obama has failed everyone in the Middle East who hoped the “Arab Spring” would lead to freedom by allowing radical Islamists to turn it into an Islamist Winter. Maybe President Obama should give back his unearned Nobel Peace Prize?

7) Obama has also failed our allies in both the Middle East and Europe .

8) Obama has sued our states such as Arizona, and refused to uphold existing US law, turning our law into actual lawlessness and allowing our borders to go unprotected.

9) And Obama has failed to protect the value of everyone’s life savings by his excessive printing of money coupled with his irresponsible growth of our national debt.

10) President Obama has succeeded in getting our credit rating lowered and bringing us closer to national bankruptcy by his many failures including… ignoring his own (Simpson-Bowles Commission on debt reduction), and his refusal to follow existing law and provide a budget yearly. He has operated for four years without a budget (No Fiscal Discipline). Yet he claims he has a plan. Give us a break, we are not that dumb.

11) Look at the latest jobs numbers that were supposed to be an improvement. Oops….California did not report on time and those numbers were not included. Oh well , what else would you expect? To lower unemployment two percent and claim recovery, we need 320,000 new jobs monthly for one year.

Last but not least, watch as many of the rich in France vote with their feet and move to Switzerland and other countries after France increased their tax on the rich to 75 percent.

This move in France was quickly followed by Greece’s largest company CCH, a Coca Cola bottler who is moving from Greece to Switzerland to avoid excessive taxes. This is what we have to look forward to if President Obama is reelected and we continue down the path of socialist failure and demonizing success.
