Thomas W. George, 65 of Oxford, previously of Milford, beloved husband to Sylvia Steele George, died August 13, at home. He was surrounded by those closest to him. Son of Delbert and Mary Hughes George, he was born in Racine, W.Va., October 9, 1944.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; three stepchildren, including Chris Galla and his wife, Rebecca, of Newtown; five siblings; 12 loving grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
Thomas had worked in the lighter division at Bic Corp for 33 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and was an excellent woodworker.
A Prayer Service took place August 18. Interment was at Mountain Meadow Cemetery, Seymour.
