Donald E. Miller

Donald E. Miller, 86, of Toddy Hill Road, Newtown, and formerly of Viscount Drive, Milford, died July 15 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr Miller was born in Bridgeport, on October 12, 1914, to the late William F. and Eunice A. (Warner) Miller. He was a Milford resident for 54 years prior to moving to Newtown four years ago.

Mr Miller was retired from the State of Connecticut, where he was a toll collector supervisor for 28 years. He was a member of the Pyramid Temple Shriners, Hamilton Commandery 5KT, Ansantawae Lodge 89 AF & AM, Orange Lodge 143, AF & AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Haven, Milford Chapter 49, RAM, Adam Sattig Council 35, R & SM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and Lafayette Consistory, SPRS 32 degree, Fellow Craft Association, Ansantawae Lodge, Garibaldi Masonic Club, Police Square Club of Connecticut, Wepawaug Shrine Club, Order of Eastern Star 25, and Pyramid Temple Arab Patrol. Mr Miller was also a member of the Milford Senior Center.

He was predeceased by a brother, Bert T. Miller, and by a sister, Dorothy Berger.

Funeral services and burial were private.

The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue in Milford, was in charge of arrangements.
