*Tickets for OzzFest 2003 are going on sale this weekend. Ozzy’s festival returns to the Meadows in Hartford on Saturday, August 9, and tickets will be going on sale Saturday morning at 10 through tickets.com outlets and the Oakdale Theatre’s box office (the Oakdale and the Meadows are both operated by Clear Channel Entertainment, and the box office at the Meadows has not yet opened for the season).

There are a limited number of $10 lawn tickets being sold Saturday. Remaining tickets are $45 for the lawn, $85 general admission mosh pit, and $65 and $85. On the bill for the Hartford show is OZZY, KORN, MARILYN MANSON, DISTURBED, CHEVELLE, and TRUST COMPANY. Additional bands TBA.

*Going on sale Monday morning will be tickets for CHICAGO, who plays the Oakdale Theater on Saturday, June 14. Tickets for that show are $30.25, $40.25 and $50.25, and are available through the same venues as the OzzFest tix.

*The onsale date for tickets to JETHRO TULL, who will be at Mohegan Sun Arena on August 10, has been moved to March 28 (two weeks earlier than the on-sale date I was given last week). The prices for these tickets are about the most reasonable I’ve seen in years: $20 and $30. Sales are being handled through tickets.com (800-477-6849).

*Mohegan Sun will reportedly host the tour opener for BOSTON on June 8. No word on tickets.

*The show by NELSON this weekend at Mohegan Sun is actually being called “Gunnar & Matthew Nelson’s Garden Party.” That’s Saturday night in the Wolf Den. Showtime is 8 pm. Because it’s in the Wolf Den, the show’s admission is nil.

*Also no word on DAVE MATTHEWS BAND tickets, but the band has announced shows for August 30-31 at ctnow.com Meadows Music Centre in Hartford.

*With a new album out this week, EVERCLEAR hits the Webster Theatre April 19. Tickets, at $20, went on sale Saturday. Authority Zero, Az-Iz, Fend, Mile Marker Zero, Offshoot and The Exies all have opening sets. Singer-guitarist Art Alexakis, bassist Craig Montoya and drummer Greg Eklund will be concentrating on college and club stops for most of the tour to support Slow Motion Daydream, although the trio also has one show in Atlanta on May 4 where they are reportedly going to share a bill with DEF LEPPARD and DRIVIN’ N’ CRYIN.

*BÉLA FLECK AND THE FLECKTONES will perform on Friday and Saturday, April 4-5, at 8 pm, at the University of Connecticut’s Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts in Storrs. Regular tickets are $20 to $30 with discounts available for students and seniors. For tickets and information, contact the Jorgensen box office (Monday through Friday, 11 am to 5 pm) at 860-486-4226.

*JOE PROC and OFF THE HOOK have a number of shows coming up, including a return tonight to The Rathskeller in Southbury. Tomorrow night the trio is at The Blue Heron in Brookfield, and coming up are shows at Murphy’s Law in Bridgeport on March 21; Carl Anthony’s in Monroe, March 28; and Murphy’s Law again, March 29.

Until next week I’ll bee seeing you… on the road.
