C.H. Booth Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23-24, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
We will reopen on Saturday, November 25.

Childrenâs Programs
*Thanksgiving Craft Workshop: Marie Walker will conduct a Thanksgiving craft workshop for children ages 6 and up on Saturday, November 18, from 2 to 3 pm.
A $3 material fee is due upon registration. Sign up at the childrenâs circulation desk. *Nutmeg Book Discussion: Macaroni Boy by Katherine Ayers will be discussed on Wednesday, November 29, from 4 to 5 pm, in the Story Room.
Living in Pittsburgh during the Great Depression, Mike investigates the cause of the sickness that is affecting so many in his community, including his own grandfather. To learn the truth he must enlist the help of the neighborhood bully who nicknames Mike âMacaroni Boy.â
All students in grades 4-6 are welcome to join this informal discussion.
*Build Your Own Gingerbread House: Our popular gingerbread house workshop will take place on Saturday, December 9, from 2 to 3 pm, in the meeting room.
Space is limited and a $3 material fee is due upon registration. This program is for ages 3 and up.

On Sunday afternoon, December 10, we will host the fourth annual showcase of young writers in grades 6-10. Watch this space for more information and plan to join us for an amazing afternoon of original stories and poems written and read by young Newtown authors.

Matt and Kate embark on a quest to prove âcloud catsâ exist, but evil pirates attack their airship. Can they survive the battle?

Adult Programs
*Local Author Talks: On Tuesday, December 5, at 7:30 pm, Burn the Town and Sack the Banks by Cathryn Prince, who wrote the first book on the Confederate raid of a New England town during the Civil War; and Thursday, December 7, at 7:30 pm, Tennis and All That... by Alex Aitchison, stories about his life and love of the game by a popular local tennis coach.
Books will be available for purchase at the time of the talks. Refreshments will be served.

*Book Nook: A wonderful selection of holiday books are available for gift giving now through Christmas.
*Holiday Emporium: The Friends of CH Booth Library are presenting a holiday book sale on Sunday, December 3, from 11 am to 5 pm, on the first floor of the library.
