Seeking Letters From War Years

DANBURY — The Danbury Music Centre is seeking letters written by American servicemen and servicewomen while engaged in an American war.

On Veteran’s Day (Sunday, November 11), Danbury Concert Chorus will present a performance honoring and commemorating our American veterans.

The program will include readings of selected letters from those who served while our country was at war.

Richard Price, music director and conductor of the Danbury Concert Chorus, is seeking letters that evoke the spirit, hardships, and longings of those men and women.

Letters will be selected based upon how well they interface with the music being performed by the Danbury Concert Chorus. All letters received for consideration must be postmarked by September 25.

Letters selected to be read at the performance will require signed permission.

Any who has a letter they wish to be considered for public reading is invited to a legible copy (no originals, please) to Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street, Danbury CT 06810, or email it to DMC1935@snet.net.

For additional information, contact Nancy F. Sudik, executive director of Danbury Music Centre, at 748-1716.
