Bernard T. Eskierski, Sr

Villarina’s Pasta And More Patriarch

Bernard T. Eskierski, Sr, 84, of Newtown died November 4 at Danbury Hospital. His wife of 56 years, Stella “MiMi” (Zarski) Eskierski predeceased him in December of 2006. Mr Eskierski was born July 5, 1923, in Greenwich, son of John and Magdelena (Furyk) Eskierski.

 He had lived in Port Chester, N.Y., and Norwalk for many years, and had worked at Pitney Bowes in Stamford. He played in the intricacies of the success of his families business, Villarina’s Pasta and More, in Newtown and Southbury.

Mr Eskierski is survived by two sons, Bernard T. Eskierski, Jr, of Newtown and Steven A. Eskierski of Southbury; two daughters Joanne Knees of Newtown and Suzanne Eskierski of Southbury; and three granddaughters, Courtney, Morgan, and Joslynn.

A funeral Mass was held November 7 at Sacred Heart Church, Southbury. Burial was held in the St Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, was in charge of arrangements.
