PHILADELPHIA, PENN. — The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts’ Art-at-Lunch talk on American art and culture on Wednesday, March 26, from noon to 1 pm, will address “Philadelphia’s Female Sculptresses.”

Roberta Tarbell, professor at Rutgers University, narrates the history of women and sculpture, with a special focus on Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Featuring artists Beatrice Fenton, Bessie Potter Vonnoh and others, she will show how the tradition of American art is rich with skilled female sculptresses.
