To the Editor:
Chris Lyddy has been named a âChildrenâs Championâ by the Early Childhood Alliance each year of his first term. He was awarded the âTip of the Capâ award from ConnCAN for his work on education reform. He was appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve on the Education Committee. Clearly, Chris is fighting for children in Hartford. They are, after all, our most valuable investment.
As a graduate of Newtown Public Schools, Chris saw first-hand how important a quality education is to being prepared for the future. He made education a priority while on the Legislative Council, and continues to make it a priority as our state representative.
We need students who are prepared for the work force or college after graduation. Chris Lyddy understands that. We need our students, teachers, and school staff to be learning and working in a healthy environment. Chris Lyddy understands that. We need to ensure we are investing in math and science to compete in a global economy. Chris Lyddy understands that.
When you head to the polls on November 2, remember that Chris Lyddy is the candidate for state representative with a proven record of supporting education. Investing in our childrenâs education is one of the most valuable investments we can make. A vote for Chris Lyddy is a vote to continue that investment.

Sincerely,
Laura Howard
