Valentines For Ashlar

Middle Gate students each made special Valentine’s greetings for the residents of Ashlar of Newtown. The Respect, Responsibly and Diversity Committee organized this outreach program at Middle Gate School.

“Oh my, thank you” or “That’s so sweet” is what the elderly people at Ashlar said when Ann Hull, P.J. Cochrane, Adam Margulies, and Nancy Wilder went to Ashlar to deliver the Valentines.

Nancy said, “It was wonderful to see the smiling faces of the elderly.”

Ann, P.J., Nancy, and Adam did not make all the Valentines. Middle Gate students contributed their time to make valentines. This deed that they did was great and they should be proud.

The RRD Committee collected the handmade greetings and visited with the Ashlar residents on Friday, February 2. Greetings were presented to residents room by room, with additional greetings used to decorate the lounge area.
