Dublin Marathon To Benefit Children With Autism
MILFORD â The Connecticut Center for Child Development and Road & Track Sports has teamed up to raise money for children with autism. They will be co-sponsoring a fundraising trip to the Dublin Marathon in Dublin, Ireland, in October. Deadline to register is July 15.
Wallie Jahn, the owner of Road & Track Sports, a running specialty store in New Milford, is chairing this fundraising event and will be assisting with training marathon runners who participate.
The Connecticut Center for Child Development (CCCD) is a nonprofit organization that operates a private school and an Outreach Program for children with autism. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to support CCCDâs educational programs for children with autism and their families.
The group will be running in the Dublin Marathon on October 25. Individuals interested in either running with the group in Dublin or becoming part of a runnerâs support team can contact Suzanne Letso at 203-882-8810 or Wallie Jahn at 860-354-9191.
First time runners to experienced marathoners are all invited to participate.
