Guardian Angels

To the Editor:

Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the emergency workers involved in the rescue of our son, Patrick, from the Sandy Hook cave-in on June 30. Your prompt response and careful rescue have meant that Patrick will make a full recovery. A less skillful rescue could have resulted in a lifetime confined to a wheelchair.

Patrick’s guardian angel had a lot of help that night from the Newtown Ambulance, fire department and police department, and we will be forever grateful.
