Openings In CT Master Chorale
Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, has a soprano and bass opening for its upcoming 2004-05 concert season.
The concert season will open with the choraleâs annual âHoliday Prelude Concertâ in November at St Maryâs Church in Bethel. On the program is Glenn McClureâs brand new Guadalupe Magnificat (with steel drums) plus other festive and joyous music to usher in the holiday season.
In March, the chorale will offer two new major works by John Rutter: âMass of the Childrenâ and âFeel the Spirit.â
Music of great Russian composers will be featured in the May concert, including Borodinâs Polovetzian Dances plus sacred and folk songs.
The March and May concerts will be at St Rose in Newtown.
Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, at the South Britain Congregational Church parish house, on Route 172 (about one mile from I-84 Exit 14). Rehearsals for the 2004-05 season will begin September 7.
