Glee Club Will Offer ‘British Invasion’ Pops Concert

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield University Glee Club will present “The British Invasion,” its annual Pops Concert, on Tuesday, May 2, at 7:30 pm, in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

Under the direction of Carole Ann Maxwell, DSM, the program will offer a look at some of the greatest songs from across the Atlantic, including hits by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, and Broadway titan Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The Glee Club is a mixed chorus of more than 90 undergraduate and graduate students continuing a 59-year legacy of sharing their music. The choir has performed at many places nationally and abroad, including Carnegie Hall, Washington National Cathedral, Westminster Cathedral in London, and Aula Paolo VI at the Vatican.
