William Jacob, NHS Class of 2006, was named a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. The Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholars performed in the top 20 percent of their class the previous academic year.

Canterbury School, New Milford, announced that the following Newtown students have been named to the honor roll for the first marking period: High Honors: Briana Berg; Honors: Brendan Buzaid.
