Is Peace Possible

In A Tumultuous World?

On Sunday, February 17, Newtown Christian Fellowship (NCF) will host a lecture by Roman Kresina entitled, “A World In Turmoil — Can I Still Find Peace?” The meeting will be held from 4 to 5 pm in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall.

Mr Kresina, a student and teacher of the bible for over 35 years, stated: “All of us, if we are honest, admit that there is a very real lack of peace, not only in our world, but very often in our personal lives as well. The question ‘Can I ever really have peace?’ is one that many thinking people ask, and it deserves a solid answer.”

Asked why NCF is reaching out to Newtown residents, David Kerr, spokesperson for NCF, stated, “As a local Newtown church it is our biblical mandate and privilege to share the Bible’s message of hope with our neighbors. To remain silent would be selfish and a direct contradiction of the tenets of our faith.”

“Some people think that the bible is just an old book that isn’t really relevant to their lives,” said Mr Kersina. “Actually, the fact that it is more than 2,000 years old gives the bible greater credibility. People throughout the ages, many living in far more tumultuous circumstances than we experience, have testified that the peace offered in the Bible is real and lasting.”

The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information call 203-816-8499.
