Softball Team Wins

Newtown’s Summer A softball team defeated New Fairfield 10-5 in the season opener recently. Great defense and strong pitching by Ali Nuzzo and Emma McGrath kept Newtown in the game through all five innings. Big hits by Rose Wheway, Lisa Price, Chloe Bigwarfe, and Nicky DaPra provided the offense. Newtown got great defense behind the plate from Kendra Saunders. Anna Johnston, Samantha Black, and Ally Tolson all made awesome plays in the infield.
