Find Vehicular Violations
Town police report that their traffic enforcement unit and the state Department of Motor Vehicles commercial safety division conducted a truck inspection project in town on October 13 in seeking to find trucking safety violations.
Inspectors held the project at Wasserman Way, Route 25, and Route 34.
After being selected for inspections, police directed truckers to the Fairfield Hills campus where the inspections were performed.
Police said that they did seven truck inspections, which resulted in 19 safety violations being found.
Three trucks were taken out of service due to serious violations including load securement problems and automotive lighting problems, police said.
The inspectors required that the violations be corrected. No infraction tickets were issued to violators, police said.
